Sleeper

Hey look! I finished this finally!!

I also learned I don't actually own After Effects so I ended up using a screen cap software to get in Maya video of the animation I quickly did to get an idea of movement, which is why there are no alphas on it in the video.

Still! The model is finished, it's rigged well enough to be usable, and I'm very pleased with the result, even if it took me many, many hours to do.

Sleeper Progress

I feel like a fool for 1. taking such long breaks between texturing this and 2. taking so long to figure out unlit rendering. I am the fool, it is me.

Working on texturing the main body at this point. I'm still not entirely sure the direction I'm going, which is part of why it's taking so long, but I like the result I've got so far. I need to go back in and break up the fur on the neck to not be so uniform but otherwise I am pleased so far with the results.

Not a lot to update on the Sleeper model, as I'm trying to rig it and that is taking a lot longer than I anticipated. Instead, have this other model I'm almost done with:

Sitting at about 3K tris, also in the process of being rigged. Digitigrade legs are hard to rig and make deform properly.

Finished Bastet up!

There are some hiccups in the rig that I forgot to account for, but they are super simple to fix and as of right now I just wanted to get her posed.

On to other projects!

Remember this thing?!

I've had to put the Lil Egypt series aside for a long time to work on contract stuff, but now that my contracts are over I picked it back up and hammered Bastet out over the past few days.

I plan to rig, pose and get some nice renders of her over the course of the week, while also working on some other models.
